Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Geotechnical Engineering/Geomechanics at the University of Sydney

Applications are invited for appointment to a continuing position at either lectureship or senior lectureship level (levels B or C) in the School of Civil Engineering, within the Faculty of Engineering & Information Technologies at the University of Sydney.

The School of Civil Engineering has a reputation for the quality of its graduates, for the breadth, depth and innovation in its undergraduate curriculum, and for the strength of its research and postgraduate teaching programs. The School’s research and teaching are primarily in the fields of structural engineering, geotechnical engineering, fluids and environmental engineering, and project management. This new opening highlights the School’s vision to further grow the activities of the Sydney Centre in Geomechanics and Mining Materials (SciGEM) directed by Professor Itai Einav. The school and SciGEM are strengthening their research capabilities and we are particularly interested to grow our research in geotechnical and geoenvironmental engineering and/or rock mechanics.
