A new Elsevier journal entitled GEOMECHANICS FOR ENERGY and the ENVIRONMENT (GETE) has been established.
The scope of the journal is designed as broad, emphasizing fundamental concepts in multi-phase geomechanics and mechanics of porous media, the experiments and analysis of novel phenomena and applications. In terms of areas of specific technologies, it encourages research manuscripts covering geomechanics for natural and enhanced geothermal energy, geological solutions in disposal, storage and retrieval of nuclear, hazardous and domestic waste, resource engineering and mining, conventional and unconventional petroleum engineering, natural gas geotechnologies, geological sequestration of carbon dioxide and methane, methane hydrate technology, and any possible new energy technologies involving geomaterials.
