A half day seminar at Imperial College London: 1:00 – 4:30 pm 21th March 2018
In advance of the 2018 BGA Rankine lecture, there will be a half day seminar discussing recent developments in understanding fabric and structure effects on soil behaviour. The speakers will discuss recent advancements in our ability to quantify fabric and link fundamental observations to overall soil behaviour. The evolving nature of fabric and structure will be considered. An industrial case study will discuss the important issue of soil stability in the context of bulk cargo shipping. The seminar will include ample time to discuss the issues raised, before moving to hear the 58th Rankine Lecture, which will be delivered by Dr Nick O’Riordan of Arup on Dynamic Soil Structure Interaction.
Full details of the seminar are on the attached flier. Prior registration is not required.
