The Geomechanics and porous media group at the Laboratoire des Fluides Complexes et leurs Reservoirs (joint research group between Univ. Pau & Pays Adour, CNRS and Total) is opening a post-doctoral position on lattice-based poromechanics for the modelling of hydraulic fracturing. This postdoctoral research is part of a larger project associating Univ. Pau & Pays Adour, Stanford University and MIT dedicated to multiscale modelling of rocks, to which the candidate is expected to participate.

In March 2017 a 2nd level specializing master in “Tunnel Engineering” will be activated at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering of Politecnico di Milano (www.dica.polimi.it). The Director is Professor Claudio di Prisco. The master is open to candidates who have a Master of Science in Civil or Environmental Engineering. For foreign applicants, the master is open to students holding equivalent qualifications.
