Colorado School of Mines is currently conducting a search for the endowed Bruce E. Grewcock Chair in Underground Construction and Tunneling (UC&T). The search is open to highly qualified candidates at the academic rank of Full Professor. The volumes of the Symposium are to be published as the two March 2013 editions of the journal.
The Third International Symposium on Computational Geomechanics (ComGeo III) will take place at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Krakow, Poland, 21-23 August, 2013. The Laboratory for Soil Mechanics (LMS) of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL) is looking for a Postdoctoral research fellow working on design and predictive modeling of real scale experiments for nuclear waste disposal. The foreseen activities include the implementation of advanced constitutive models developed at the LMS in a FE code and the implementation of 3D FE computations to simulate the repository behaviour.
