Post-doc offer Numerical modeling of dynamic fluid driven fracture in rocks and induced seismicity

In the framework of a research program on geothermal energy partially supported by
Dassault-System, Mines ParisTech is offering a 12 months post-doc contract, ideally starting on September 1st, 2018.

The selected candidate will develop numerical approaches to simulate the dynamic fluid
driven fracture accounting for Thermo-Hydro-Mechanical coupling, wave propagation and induced seismicity.

Candidates should possess a strong background in computational solid mechanics including fracture mechanics (XFEM) and wave propagation. Additional knowledge on Computed Fluid Mechanics and experience in softwares (Abaqus, Ansys,…) would be a plus.
