Applications are welcome for a PhD position to investigate the dynamic impact of construction works on neighboring freshly installed concrete structures within the soil (e.g. piles). The research will focus on numerical and experimental investigations with focus on geodynamics. The project is available to candidates holding a master degree (M.Sc.) in civil engineering, geotechnical engineering, earth science or similar.
Strong interest and experience in numerical methods in geomechanics, constitutive modelling and/or soil dynamics are advantageous. The candidate should have very good knowledge in English (writing/reading/speaking). German language skills are eligible.
