Dear Dr. Kim,
thank you for your interest on ALERT Geomaterials. You can participate in the ALERT activities as a person at any time. The activities include primarly research workshops and doctoral schools. You can find more on the ALERT webpage.
Regarding a formal admission, only institutions can become members of the association. The prerequisite for the admission is that representatives of these institutions participate in the ALERT activities for a certain period (at least two years). Moreover, the full membership is available for the European institutions only. Overseas institutions can become associated members without the voting right.
