The geotechnical engineering group of the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department at Northwestern University is seeking for PhD candidates. Three positions will be available in the Fall 2014. Successful candidates should have a master degree in civil engineering, geomechanics, applied mechanics or related disciplines and a strong background in continuum mechanics and geotechnical engineering.
