Applications are welcome from those with a experienced and recognised research background in Geotechnical Engineering. You will have research experience in an academic (or industrial research) environment, including a relevant publication record in leading international journals and evidence of ability in attracting external research funding from a range of funding sources. Candidates who can actively contribute to research in computational and applied geotechnics will be favourably assessed.
You should have a PhD in a relevant discipline, preferably within the broad area of Civil Engineering. Teaching commitments can be expected at both undergraduate and postgraduate level with contributions to the Department’s current and future degree programmes. Your enthusiasm in research should therefore be accompanied by a commitment and competence in teaching at both UG and PG levels.
