Digital Dikes is a high-profile research programme, funded by the Dutch Research Council (NWO), which comprises partners from six universities, supported by a broad group of end-users and stakeholders, led by the University of Twente. Over the course of six years, Digital Dikes will develop advanced 3D models for BEP incorporating real-world soil characteristics, validated through industry and government collaborations. This enables precise dike reinforcements and boosts cost-effective flood protection.
