We are seeking two highly motivated postdoctoral researchers to join the ERC Consolidator Grant project FORECAST, which aims to develop a new scientific framework for understanding, diagnosing, and forecasting catastrophic failure in geophysical systems.

The two positions will focus on:
🔹 Glacier instabilities
🔹 Volcanic eruptions

The projects will combine theoretical modelling, statistical physics, numerical simulations, and monitoring data to investigate the mechanisms governing failure precursors, instability evolution, and predictability in geophysical systems.

The successful candidates will join a dynamic international research team and collaborate with leading researchers and international partners working on geohazard forecasting and risk mitigation.
