The 3rd Sino-German Offshore Geotechnics Workshop will take place on 1–2 September 2026 at Ruhr University Bochum, Germany. Jointly organised by Ruhr University Bochum, Karlsruhe Institute of Technology and Zhejiang University, the workshop will focus on:

“From installation to long-term serviceability of offshore wind turbine foundations.”

The programme includes six invited lectures by internationally recognised researchers, complemented by presentations from German and Chinese international research institutions.

Topics include monopile installation, cyclic and seismic loading, long-term foundation behaviour, advanced numerical methods, offshore foundations in weak rocks, novel anchoring systems and the prediction of long-term deformations.

The workshop will also feature an optional laboratory tour.
