As announced already in October 2012, ALERT Workshop 2013 (24th Edition) will be held in Aussois from September 30 to October 2, 2013. Please don’t forget to submit your abstracts by email directly to the coordinators using the Workshop abstract form (doc, pdf).
Since time for the presentations is limited, only part of the abstracts submitted will be chosen for oral presentations. Therefore, we invite you to submit your abstract as soon as possible. The presentation can also be submitted as a poster. The deadline for the abstract submission is April 30, 2013 . For any communication about your participation to the workshops, please contact directly the organizers of the sessions.

The programme of the Alert Summerschool 2013 will be announced within the next weeks. The tentative list of speakers comprises Gary Couples, Helen Lewis, Boris Kaus, Taras Gerya, Laetitia LePourhiet, Matthias Klinkmueller, Hannah Pomella.
The summerschool will take place in the central building of the Innsbruck university. Hence, persons wishing to attend should register at geotechnik@uibk.ac.at or contact Mrs. Sarah-Jane Loretz-Theodorine, +43 512 507 6671. The participation fees are 200,- Euro, however the Summerschool is free of charges for participants attached to ALERT. Upon acceptance the participants are requested to find and book their accommodation in Innsbruck.

The Géotechnique Symposium in Print on “Bio- and Chemo- Mechanical processes in geotechnical engineering” will be held in London. The volumes of the Symposium are to be published as the two March 2013 editions of the journal.
The Third International Symposium on Computational Geomechanics (ComGeo III) will take place at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Krakow, Poland, 21-23 August, 2013. The last date for electronic submission of one-page abstracts for ComGeo III is January 31, 2013. Abstracts should be submitted in MS Word (.doc) or Adobe Acrobat (.pdf) format.
