The University of Cambridge, in collaboration their industrial partner Deltares, is looking for a full-time post-doctoral researcher in the frame of EU Marie Curie MPM-Dredge project (http://mpm-dredge.eu/project-dredge/). The aim of the project is to develop a dynamic Material Point Method code for dredging applications. It aims to solve the numerical issues associated with large deformations and fluid pressures that occur in the interaction between soils and fluids.

The School of Petroleum Engineering (SCOPE) is amongst the top Petroleum Engineering departments around the world with substantial research funding from both government and private sectors. As a part of UNSW’s strategic initiative in unconventional energy and mineral resources, SCOPE is seeking a highly motivated academic researcher in the area of Theoretical and Applied Geomechanics. Applicants with exceptional research record in the very early stages of their academic career (up to 3 years post-PhD) are particularly encouraged to apply.
