ALERT Workshop 2016 – extended deadline

The deadline for the submission of abstracts for the ALERT Geomaterials Workshop 2016 (27th Edition) has been extended up to May 31, 2016!

Please submit your abstracts by email directly to the coordinators using the Workshop abstract form (doc, odt, pdf). Since time for the presentations is limited, only a part of the submitted abstracts can be chosen for the oral presentations. Therefore, we invite you to submit your abstract as soon as possible. The presentation can also be submitted as a poster. The abstracts of the posters will be published in a separate booklet (ISSN registered).

Mini-Symposium „Simulation of cutting, wear and abrasion“

In the frame of EURO:TUN 2017, 18-20 April 2017, Innsbruck, Austria (eurotun2017.com) a Mini-Symposium „Simulation of cutting, wear and abrasion“ will be organized by Dimitrios Kolymbas (dimitrios.kolymbas@uibk.ac.at). Post-doct position at Institut GeM

A position for a post-doctoral researcher is available at the GeM laboratory (University of Nantes). The project is designed to start a new numerical FEM approach to model internal erosion, complementary to the experimental approach developed by the team. The project requires good modelling skills (FEM) and if possible knowledge of the mixture theory. You can find attached a one-page description of the postdoctoral position.

ALERT OZ course (Summerschool) on “Geomechanics of landslides”

The 8th ALERT Olek Zienkiewicz Course (ALERT Summerschool) on “Geomechanics of landslides” will be held at the University of Salerno from the 5th to the 9th of September 2016. This year, the OZ course will be jointly held with the LARAM school (LAndslide Risk Assessment and Mitigation).

Information on the OZ course can be found on the LARAM website. The deadline for the registration is the 15th of June 2016, the deadline for the bank transfer is the 1st of July 2016. Please use the registration form.

ALERT Workshop 2016 – 2nd call for abstracts

As announced already in October 2015, the ALERT Workshop 2016 (27th Edition) will be held in Aussois from October 3 to October 5, 2016. Please submit your abstracts by email directly to the coordinators using the Workshop abstract form (doc, odt, pdf). If you wish to publish your presentation after the Workshop on the ALERT website, do not forget to agree by ticking the corresponding box in the abstract form.
