The deadline for the submission of abstracts for the Sessions 2 and 3 of the ALERT Workshop 2014 (25th Edition) has been extended up to May 31, 2014! Please submit your abstracts by email directly to the coordinators using the Workshop abstract form (doc, odt, pdf). The submission of the abstracts for the Session 1 is closed!

Faculty position in Geo-Energy at EPFL

Topics of interest are covering experimental, theoretical or computational mechanical approaches for large-scale engineered geo-energy systems; porous media multiphase flow modelling with a focus on injection and retention of CO2 in geological repositories as well as underground unconventional resource recovery.

Obituary on Prof. Pierre Foray

Pierre Foray, Professor Emeritus of Grenoble INP passed away on March 24, 2014 after a long battle with cancer. His death a few years after his retirement has saddened many people including his former students, colleagues, and friends. Pierre is well known in the Geotechnical community in France and abroad. The ALERT-Geomaterials community has lost an extraordinary individual with his passing. Continue reading
