McMaster University is hosting the 2014 Engineering Mechanics Institute (EMI) Conference, Aug. 5-8, 2014. Two Mini-Symposia are being planned by the Granular Materials Technical Committee of the EMI: (1) Advances in Soil and Granular Mechanics with Applications to Natural Hazards and (2) Experimental and Numerical Methods in Multiscale Granular Mechanics.
